He is a public speaker on Hospitality Finance, Cyber Crime Prevention and Leadership.

Mr. Mena has served in senior finance executive level positions for several prestigious hotel management companies in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. These organizations include, Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Aimbridge Hospitality, Hilton International Hotel Company, Melia Hotels International, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Rock Resorts International, Aqualina Resort on the Beach, Sonesta Hotels & Resorts, AMresorts and Karisma Hotels & Resorts.

He has developed several global online worldwide applications with the top web baseddevelopment companies in India and Russia.

He has a proven track record of talent and leadership development and turning around financially depressed hotels.Mr. Mena has being a key contributor in optimizing revenue management, and increasing customer and team members’ satisfaction levels. He successfully led the team that re-engineered Finamer, a subsidiary of AMresorts in the Dominican Republic, improving the billing and collection practices of the company. Finamer is responsible for the billing and collection of more than 35 resorts located in the Caribbean and Mexico. He has been instrumental in the opening of several resorts including the El Conquistador Resort & Country Club (1,000 rooms) in Puerto Rico, The Ritz-Carlton San Juan in Puerto Rico (414 rooms), Epic Hotel in Miami (411 rooms and 343 condo units), Tempo Miami (700 condo hotel units) with multi properties responsibilities in Miami and the Caribbean. As Director of Finance at Secret Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he was a key player in turning around the financialresults of the resort. This propertyhas 700 rooms, 20 F&B outlets, a spa and a retail shop a water sports facilities and a limited slot machines operation with gross annual revenues of 80 million US dollars.

Mr. Mena has been the founding member and Principal of Sunshine Hospitality Partners, Sunshine Great Tours, Sunshine Elite Tours, Boutique Hotels International, Bookitzoo, Cyber Crime Prevention Group, Hotel Great Jobs, Executive Search Club, Las Gangas andHospitality Bottom-Line Masters.

He is a former Information Technology, Accounting and Hotel Management Professor at the University of the United States Virgin Islands, St. Thomas campus.

He Mena graduated with distinctions from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor degree in Information Technology with a major in compilers design and data communications, anda bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He holds a Master degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, Arizona, United States.Mr. Mena is a certified Professor, Speaker and Coach on leadership by the John Maxwell Company in Orlando, Florida, United States. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Information Technology Management. Mr. Mena is a universal citizen, a global leader, multi-cultural and fluent in several languages.
